Garden Update: Late Spring 2014

Today we wanted to pop in with a late spring update on all things gardening. We gotta keep it real and let you know that we definitely haven't planted as much as we'd like, and not everything we've tried this year has been a winning success, but other plants have really taken off. We've got a bit of a gardening hodge podge around the house, so today we're going to lay it all out, just the way it is!

Our Avocado Tree: Winter Update

As promised in yesterday's winter garden update, today we wanted to give a little winter progress report on the state of our avocado tree we've been growing from the pit. We haven't given an update on this guy since early fall back when we planted it in a soil filled-container, so we're more than overdue.

Fall Planting & Garden Updates

Over the past few weekends we've been trying to clear out planters from the spring and summer plantings, harvest and preserve herbs that are beginning to get at the end of their rope, take care of the plants that will fair through the fall and winter and even plant a few new fall "container crops" here and there as we have space and time.
