We're back from the heels of a 2 week vacation in Italy — it's a bittersweet spot to be in as we're happy to be home and re-energized to take on the busy season ahead, though our heads keep wandering back to the remote hills of Umbria and the 300 year old farmhouse where we stayed while away.

Buongiorno! That's, "good morning" in Italian! As you may already know, today we're checking in from the start of a 2 week vacation in Italy. We're staying in the Umbria region in a remote stone farm house that sits atop an olive grove overlooking the small historic town of Assisi.

Across the Pond: Off to London

After a quick trip in NYC, today we're all packed up and headed off for a week in London. I'll be working from the London Etsy office the better part of the week, with a few free evenings and days stacked in for exploring together. We'll be staying in the Holborn area of the city and are excited to see the sights, eat the eats and do all the things. With that in mind — we'd love your favorite recommendations and suggestions for London as we make our way through the city.

Now that we're back home and setting into the week since our Mexican vacation last week, we've had the time to go through many of the camera and phone snaps we took while there and put together a roundup of our favorites to share here on the blog.

We're all packed up and heading out shortly for a little getaway to Mexico. Over the next week we'll be checking in from the sunny beaches of Cancun and hope to bring a little of the warm sunshine back with us from vacation when we return to RVA. Beach Eats: Pimento Cheese Wars

Saying that Tim and I are big fans of pimento cheese might be a bit of an understatement. Tim makes a tried and true version we love and you might recall my favorite dish from last year's Broad Appetit being the fried pimento cheese fritters. Related — we were bummed to miss this year's Broad Appetit, but were booking it to the beach for our honeymoon instead.

While honeymooning, we picked up a tub of pimento cheese spread during our first big trip to the market and all I can say is, our snack creations seemed to get crazier and crazier, each outdoing the last. Things started out rather tame with a healthy dollap of pimento cheese on a wide, thin cracker...

Beach Eats: Scallop & Vegetable Skewers with Wahoo Steak

Honeymooning at the beach gave us the perfect excuse to cook up nightly dinners incorporating fresh seafood and veggies — filled with so much flavor and healthy at the same time. Today we're sharing the recipe for one of the dinner spreads I made that turned out to be one of our favorites from the week — roasted vegetables, scallops and wahoo steak to share.
