Folks, how is it the last day of June — who's with me? We've been savoring the weekends lately and made little plans for venturing out in order to relax, which of course meant we ended up tackling a bunch of things around the house. Such is life.

Fancy That!

We're back again this week, sharing all the smaller things we're into (or fancying, hence the series name) that might not fit into a single post for one reason or another. Sometimes there might be a long list of randomness, other times it might be a single gem — whatever the case, here's what we're into right now.

Over on eHow: DIY Leather Valet Tray
Soon after building our new glass tabletop entryway console last week, we realized we needed some storage options for all the little odds and ends that end up getting dropped off at the front door — hello clutter! To solve the immediate need, we whipped together this simple riveted leather catch-all tray, which we're sharing the full step-by-step tutorial for in our latest post over on eHow.

So, our entryway got a little update this weekend! That's right, we updated the space and even better yet, made the new console table ourselves for our latest project post over on eHow.

What's Old is New Again: Our Chandelier Makeover
A couple weekends ago we crossed off some home lighting projects from the old never-ending "things we want to get done around the house" list. The short of these updates is — we switched out the tired chandelier in our bedroom with the ceiling fan in our closet space and gave both fixtures a little updating along the way. Today we're going to share all the details around removing this beauty of an old fixture from our bedroom, how we updated it and where it's now cozily dwelling.

Working in restaurants through college, Mary's amassed quite the collection of wooden wine crates. We use them for storing all sorts of things around the house and had an extra one on hand that was perfect for our latest DIY project for eHow. I ended up transforming one of these lidded wooden wine crates into a self-concealed gadget charging station!
After mostly cleaning up from Saturday's party and preparing for dinner outside the next day, we heard some "suspect" barking coming from the back room. After a quick check to make sure everything was OK, we captured this little gem of a video we thought you might get a kick out of too.

Recipe: Individual Watermelon Feta Salad Wedges
Summertime means getting to enjoy watermelons at their seasonal peak and this past weekend we cut into our first seedless treat of the season! Tim's the main point for most things food in our relationship, so he was in charge of the majority of our weekend party menu. That being said, I was excited to put together these individual watermelon feta wedges as part of the larger spread.

How Has It Been A Year Already?
As you may already know, Tim and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary over the weekend. It's amazing to think just how fast time flies and at the same time, just how far we've come over the past year. It's even crazier to think that this year also marks 10 years of being together. We've both changed and evolved into different people over the past decade, but the part I'm most thankful for is that we've made those transitions together.
