Giveaway: Custom Printcopia Canvas Print

Today we're excited to share a quick home update we created from a photo of Basil and have a special giveaway for you at the bottom of this post so you can customize and try canvas prints of your own.

***Update: This giveaway has ended, but we'd love for you to read all about our canvas print  project below. Find the lucky winner at the bottom of the post. Stay tuned for future giveaways right here at 17 Apart! ***

Weekend before last we mentioned updating the space above our little diy coat rack with a new image — is it a big surprise to anyone that it's an image of Basil? Big shocker, right?

We'd been on a general hunt for something to fill that little space above the coat rack I made from antique electrical insulators back in the fall, so when the team behind Printcopia.com offered us an 11x14 canvas wrapped print of our choosing to customize, coupled with a giveaway for you guys, we knew this was the perfect nook to update.

We were excited to work with Printcopia, learning that all of their canvas prints are made in the USA and they use all non-toxic eco-friendly inks. When ordering the print, we loved all the different options for customizing our image — Printcopia will even let you upload images directly from your Instagram and Facebook feeds. The canvas arrived perfectly printed and wrapped with hanging hardware already attached. Check out the texture details and dimension:

Just look at that dog — yeah, we're big suckers:

This shot was from Basil's first swim. We had taken him to the river down by our old house and coaxed him into the water. I actually got in the water first and swam way out, then we called for him to come swim to me. It was funny and exciting to watch him swim for the first time — the shot above captures how eager he was to come "get" me out in the water. It was a great memory for both Mary and I.

Because the canvas print came completely finished and affixed with a hanging backing, literally all I had to to was hammer a nail into the wall above the coat rack and hang 'er up:

One of the easiest updates we've made to the space:

The end result — better than we could have hoped for:

Here's an angled shot just to show how the canvas adds a little dimension to this evolving wall along the staircase:

After ordering and receiving our first canvas print with Printcopia, we now get regular emails with promotions they run like printing discounts and free shipping — the email list is a great way to score some deals with these guys. Aside from canvas prints, the Printcopia brand runs 3 similar similar sites for promotional supplies like banners, car magnets and cheap signs — check them out if you have upcoming promotional printing projects for your small business.

  6. I have these great vintage photos my dad took which I would love to have up for display in my living room; since he passed two years ago I have been incorporating some of the amazing photos I came across from the younger version of him into my home. It has been so fun to peek into his world before I was born and learn that our design and photo aesthetic is actually quite similar. This would be a great opportunity to get a print made!
