17Apart Holiday Gift Guide: 17 Gifts (Naughty or Nice!)

Each year we always ask our big kids to make and send a gift wish list before Thanksgiving so we can take advantage of the big sale weekend. It's one way we know we can get them something they really want and a few surprises while keeping on budget. This year, we've compiled a list of our favorite ideas to share. From those you know best to those that stump you every year, to unexpected hostess gifts and budget-friendly stocking stuffers — here's what we're loving (and buying!) this year.

And! Today many of these ideas are on super sale so you can stock up while staying on or below budget too.

1. Record Album. Introduce them to your favorite old or new classic. Need a recommendation? We've got Tides of a Teardrop, Mandolin Orange's new album, on literal repeat these days.
2. Mama Tribe Elephant Jewelry. One of the most meaningful gifts I received as a new mom was this personalized necklace with Etta's monogram on it. The elephant carries symbolism — which I wrote about here — and it's a special reminder of how much love and support I'm surrounded with every day. For every new mom (heck, any mom really!) in my life, this is the gift.
3. Instax Mini Liplay Hybrid Camera. Have you all seen these new instant cameras? That blush gold had me at first sight — perfect for snapping tangible memories amidst a social media world.
4. DIY Ornament Kit. For little and big creatives alike — a fun kit to gift on its own or to put your own spin on and use these little ornaments as gift toppers or around that bottle of cheer you're bringing to the party.
5. Agate Clock. For anyone and everyone — it's modern but analog, and comes handcrafted from a hardworking momma of five (yes, FIVE!) littles.

More and more, garden gifts are becoming my go-to. There's just something about a live plant (or the accessories that pair with them) that make for a gift that keeps giving well past the season.

6. Herb Napkin Rings. For the green & black thumb alike.
7. Muck Ankle Boots. The boot for every season & reason! Muck Boot Company sent us each a pair of their low boots to try and they've quickly become our favorites to slip on when venturing outdoors for any reason at the river house. No muck required.
8. Southern Magnolia Tree. A little piece of the South that will make memories for a lifetime. Plus, when you have a Magnolia tree, it's instantly appropriate to use greetings like, "Hey, Y'All."
9. Verdigris Stag Tree Topper. Love this as a tree topper that can be repurposed in the garden after serving its post during the holidays.
10. Geometric Wall Planter Set. Pair these with your favorite plant for an instant modern gift idea or split them up to make two!

For the holiday hostess, your best friend or neighbors — these littler ideas will make a big impression.

11. Lobster & Martini Cookie Cutters. For that one friend that would go out for lobsters & a martini on a Wednesday night with you. We all have one (Emily, I'm looking at you).
12. Cabernet Wine Tag. These "bad and boozy" wine tags say it all. I'm getting these for every last bottle we're toting to holiday gatherings this year. Don't miss the versions for Rośe, Champagne and Pinot Noir.
13. Pie Toppers (set of 3). My mom's go-to holiday gift is her homemade pecan pie and everyone looks forward to it every year. These sweet little pie toppers add just the right amount of polish AND would be perfect at the family pot-luck. Into something with a little more wow-factor? Check out this oversized version.
14. Cork Display Box. Loving these as a stocking stuffer for your significant other or bestie with whom you shared a cheers worth remembering.

Finally, for the littler ones we're loving personalized keepsakes, and of course a rainbow :)

15. Hand-painted Abacus Rainbow. Toy or decorative sculpture, you decide.
16. Personalized Christmas Ornament. For every last first. It's Etta's first Christmas this year, but we've also got a few on our list with a first christmas in a new home and with a new pet.
17. Baby Board Book. In what's probably our very favorite gift idea this year, you can create a completely custom board book filled with baby's favorite people, places and more. Now we just need to decide which of Daddy's silly faces to choose for Etta's book :)
