Hitched! 17 Apart Wedding Preview

We made it! Tim and I are officially married as of Saturday and are already relaxing with Basil in a cozy remote beach cottage nestled in Hatteras. We knew we'd have limited internet access while here (which helps force us unplug), and are actually checking in via mobile hotspot — thank you iPhone! It's been fun seeing all the candid wedding photos shared across our Facebook feeds taken from all of our friends and family over the past couple of days — it really is so interesting to get to see a look at the wedding through all the different angles and points of view.

We were also thrilled to find a preview of wedding shots from our big day over on our official wedding photographer's blog and couldn't wait to share a few right here with you as well. We'll get into all the details and more in a mega wedding post once we see all the pics, but were eager to share these preview shots as soon as we saw them. We hope you enjoy as much as we have!

So! First thing's first — the big surprise was my gold dress. When I saw the Golden Lights gown in Sarah Seven's recent collection, I knew it was meant for me and basically the rest of the wedding details were built out around this dress. We laced in touches of gold throughout the event and tried to compliment the touch of sparkle with pinks and grays. Tim was adamant about not wanting to see or know details about the dress before I walked down the aisle, so it was a secret all around that I've been excited to share for months now.

All of the images in this post were captured by the amazingly talented Tori Watson of Marvelous Things Photography. Find these wedding shots and even a few more in her preview post from our big day. And if you missed it and want to see even more photos, check out a peak at our engagement session with Tori from a few weeks back here.

We are so looking forward to seeing all the final images and sharing all the little details from our wedding in the coming weeks here on the blog. In the meantime, we're enjoying the honeymoon and smirking while we try to find excuses to toss the words "my husband" or "my wife" into every other sentence.

Additional Credits:
As promised above, we have many more details and the stories behind them to share here on the blog, but did want to give quick credit for a few of the bits and pieces captured in the images above.

  16. Same as Lana above, I've just stumbled here (looking at healthy dog treat recipes). From what I've seen so far, it looks like a blog right up my alley (I'm all about healthy eating, organic, local and living sustainably).

Congrats on your wedding! I love the simplicity of the dress and vintage rings (looks similar to mine. haha)!
    Best wishes!
