Behind The Scenes: Ledbury Valentine's Shoot

I've been excited to share more about the Valentine's Day collaboration I teamed up with Ledbury for this month. For those unfamiliar, Ledbury is a Richmond based custom menswear line started by 2 Richmond natives who were able to make a go of pursuing their creative passions right around the same time the economy took a downward spiral — definitely something we can get behind. The company and collection have been growing quickly and gaining lots of attention, which is exciting to follow.

For this collaboration, we teamed up to share a simple, yet elegant recipe anyone can prepare at home for Valentine's Day. I knew right away, that one of my favorite pasta recipes would be in order.

For part of the interview, we stopped into local butcher shop, Belmont Butchery to pick up the key ingredients. As you may already know, Belmont is one of my favorite local stops and the originator of Beast Feast. Learn more about this great spot and see pics from our day there in this Ledbury spotlight.

Ledbury photographers, Rob Bratney and Brian McDaniel ran the shoot. I always love getting a chance to chat with and watch other photographers while they work — it's a great opportunity to learn something new about staging or strategy for getting a great shot. So here are a few behind the scenes snaps Mary captured while we were there.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate with Ledbury — a local brand I'm a big fan of. See the final pics from the shoot along with my recipe for Valentine's Day featured here, on the Ledbury blog.

We'd love to know what your Valentine's plans are — headed out to dinner or staying in to cook?
