I harvest green onions many time, yet celery. It grew but winter came and got a bit of damage but survived until spring 2018. Here is question when will I see growth re-start? Both celery and green onion stalks are in soil since last year so they should restart growing anytime soon. I applied fertilizer today. I've been able to get three good crop yields in both water & potted in soil but the onions just seems to eventually exhaust themselves, die back and rot. I've tried feeding them without success. If you truly are getting continuous yields 365 year long please share with all your secret! At the least I'd use seed and cutting starter with large grit (big sand grains) and bits of compost but I'd probably plant as usual and carry on. Some will be asked to over winter in containers along with other plants. I use Schultz liquid plant food according to directions and 2 teaspoons of Epson Salts per 1 gallon of water every time I water my house plants. They will eventually die if you continue to use plain water. The same solution can be used to regrow onions, carrots or most any vegetable. I also have a 3 year old pineapple plant that I grew and according to the info I found on line they don't produce until they are 3 years old. I'm hoping to see it produce this year.<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6557891584261110923.post-51773396524091784482015-03-16T06:26:13.834-04:002015-03-16T06:26:13.834-04:00For those that asked....
