Emily Easterly: Get Bothered EP Release

Today I'm excited to share the creative project my best friend, Emily, has been working on over the past year. You might remember Emily and her husband, J, from our first and second summer trips down to Asheville, NC or from the photoshoot we had fun doing 2 summers ago. This time last year we were celebrating Emily and J's wedding here in Virginia. Now she's releasing a new EP, Get Bothered, and kicking off a release tour!

For those unfamiliar with Emily, she's an extremely talented singer/songwriter whom I consider lucky to call my best friend. Emily and I used to play in a girl-band duo back in high-school, but that's a story for another day. She's pursued a career in music and I couldn't be more excited about her latest piece of work, this EP:

I could go on and on, but instead of taking my word for it, you can listen to and stream the entire album over on Sound Cloud or Emily's website. Find it available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon and Bandcamp.

Emily will be kicking off the EP release tour, beginning in Asheville this weekend where she'll be headlining at LAB. Check out the show this Saturday night at 9:30pm if you in or near the area!

Not near Asheville? Keep an eye on Emily's shows page for new dates and updates to her release tour. We can't wait for the Richmond show this November at Gallery 5 — we hope to see you there if you're near this area!

More Tour Dates:
9/28/13: LAB, Asheville, NC
10/26: The Mothlight, Asheville, NC With Psalmships and Gold Light
11/15/13: Gallery 5, Richmond, VA
11/16/13: Cameo, Brooklyn, NY
11/17/13: Johnny Brenda’s, Philadelphia, PA

Here's the final cut for a video she just shot up in Brooklyn for one of the EP's songs, Decent Animal:

We hope you enjoy Emily's music as much as we do, keep up with all the things she's got going on by following her Facebook page.
